The University Open is made possible through a partnership between LexArts and the Lexington Art League (LAL).  It is a juried competition and exhibition between fine arts majors attending Kentucky universities.

The guest juror of the exhibit was Jay Jordan, the Director of the New Center for Contemporary Art and a member of the Mayor’s Committee on Public Art in Louisville, Kentucky.

“Many of the artists already have defined voices while others are still experimenting and exploring different media, “ says Jim Clark, President and CEO of LexArts, “this is what makes this show exciting to view and experience.”
