SPACE TO CREATE
Ask any artist…sometimes space to create is more valuable than money. Through its management of ArtsPlace, 161 N. Mill Street, and the Downtown Arts Center, 141 E. Main Street, LexArts provides space for artists and arts organizations to rehearse, perform, and exhibit their work.
In addition, both venues offer office space to qualified arts organizations at rental rates, well below market. Arts organizations such as the Lexington Philharmonic, Lexington Ballet, Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras, and Actors Guild take advantage of this opportunity so that their limited resources might be spent on productions rather than on rent.
Through a unique partnership with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, LexArts manages these facilities for the benefit of all people in Lexington and Central Kentucky.
